The Shala river is located in the middle of the Koman lake, it can be a destination for a wonderful day in company swimming in its crystal clear waters or a small stop along the navigation on the Koman lake to reach the Valbona national park.
In addition to beautiful nature, there are also some Guesthouses in Shala where you can spend pleasant nights and leave with our transport service at the end of your stay, towards Koman

Explore one of the most stunning natural destinations in Northern Albania — the Shala River, known for its crystal-clear waters and untouched beauty.
The journey begins with a boat ride from Koman to Shala River. Upon arrival, you can swim in the refreshing waters, relax by the riverbanks, or enjoy the adrenaline of the Zip-Line. There are also bar and restaurant services available in the area for your comfort.
After a few hours in this natural paradise, the boat returns either to Koman or to Fierze, depending on your travel plan.
We offer daily boat transfers from Koman to Shala and back, or from Shala to Fierze for those continuing their journey to Valbona. You can easily book your preferred route through our booking form, and add the minibus transfer to Valbona if needed.
We were in Albanian paradise ✨ The trip went really smoothly and everything was perfect! Gijn was a wonderful guide and the best company to spend the whole day with. We took the 3 day Hiking Tour that includes all transportation from Shkoder and hiking from Valbona to Theth and hiking activities around Theth. We had an amazing time as the trip was well organised, we had a great group of multi nationalities and a fantastic guide. We couldn't rave enough of our guide, Luiza, as she managed to adjust the pacing of the hike to the varying degrees of fitness and yet kept the fun and camaraderie of the group going. The views of the Albanian Alps and the Shala River were stunning. We shared stories, we were fed well, we tried local brews (Raki, wine, beer, tea, coffee) and we laughed a lot. We consider this one of our best hiking experiences. Kudos to Luiza and the organisers. And a big thank you for a great time in the Alps. Faleminderit!
I did the 3-Day Theth and Valbonë Hiking Tour and it was absolutely AMAZING ! Thanks to the teams ^^ Davide and his team are incredible and always available to answer any questions. There are welcoming, friendly and adorable. Their smiles are very contagious haha. My guide, Luiza is a real sunshine. Always smiling, so much energy, funny ...I spent 3wonderful days with her. She really loves nature and the mountains and always makes sure everything goes well and that you fully enjoy the moment. A 6 hours hike seemed to last 30 minutes cause i loved every moment so much. I was lucky enough to have Gjin as a guide for the last day in Theth and he's just as amazing as Luiza. Regarding food, they adapted to my vegan diet which was so great. I highly recommend it. Don't hesitate!
We went on the day trip to Theth with Gjin. He showed us some great spots for hiking and wild swimming. We also ate some amazing local food with Gjin and went to a cottage nestled in the mountains and tried a local Raki from a lovely family. Would recommend!
Highly recommend. I had made some reservations myself first and got myself in trouble. Louise and David worked something out that was just fantastic. The things you won’t find on booking. Besides that: friendly and fun people and communication was quick and to the point.
